Matthew Brassfield, editor-in-chief of Sparkle and Blood Scream comics, is a devoted fan of the late Spanish movie actor, writer, director and icon Paul Naschy. So one day Matt asked if I might like to do a two-issue comic book adaptation closely based on a Paul Naschy werewolf film. The film has been released all over the world under many different titles, so Matt chose "The Curse of the Beast" for our tribute. Jason Gilmore, Sparkle Comics' main cover artist, created the creepy and colorful covers for both issues. If you'd care to see a few samples of my black and white interior illustrations or to purchase copies of this or any Sparkle or Blood Scream title, then you should go to sparklecomics.com. You may have to click on the "Menu" bar and select "Blood Scream Titles" to see the books under the Blood Scream banner.
